Welcome to Our New Site
Old Faithful Tours has a new website! Check back for updates on snowmobiling in Yellowstone and around Wyoming.
Come and explore the beautiful winter wonderland of Yellowstone National Park on one of our most popular all-inclusive 3-day, 2-night progressive travel snowmobile adventures.
Glistening under a thick blanket of snow, winter in Yellowstone is a magical season teeming in wildlife without the usual summer tourist crowds. Under a sapphire sky, the region’s 10,000 hydrothermal features provide an eerie contrast to an icy landscape. There isn’t a safer, more comfortable way to explore the many wonders that Yellowstone Park has to offer than by snowmobile.
This tour allows you plenty of time to stop and view the wildlife and enjoy the magnificent geysers, waterfalls, hot pools and scenic vistas the Park is famous for.

We prefer to meet you the day before the tour departs at our office in the town of Jackson where guests are fitted with warm, heavy insulated snow suits, mittens, boots and full-face helmets. Our tour begins with a nice hot breakfast at the Virginian Restaurant before departing by van to the south entrance of Yellowstone. Following a safety orientation, we are off on the wide, groomed roads of the Park. We stop for lunch at Old Faithful then continue along the banks of the Madison River where we pause to observe the numerous herds of wild bison which winter in this area. The first evening we exit the Park at the west entrance to spend the night at the Stagecoach Inn in West Yellowstone, Montana. The Stagecoach is a historic hotel located at the center of all activities in West Yellowstone. The tastefully appointed rooms and superb restaurant make for a wonderful place to relax and reminisce about your first day in Yellowstone.
We start day two with a visit to the Grizzly Discovery Center in West Yellowstone. Because the bears are fed all winter, they do not hibernate so you can enjoy watching them. In addition to the Grizzly Bears, the Center also contains numerous wolves that are active and visible to the visitor. After reentering the Park, we head north past the steaming geysers of Norris Basin and the Gibbon River to our night’s lodging in Gardiner, Montana. Before arriving in Gardiner, we have ample time to enjoy the Park Service interpretive displays and thermal area at Mammoth Hot Springs. Gardiner is a small Montana town where western hospitality is a priority, here we will be staying at the Ridgeline Hotel at Yellowstone and dining at the Yellowstone Mine.
Day three begins with the frozen waterfalls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, big game observation and glorious high country scenery. Today we travel through the Hayden Valley, which many consider to be a highlight of the tour. Along the way, the photo opportunities are endless. We ride along the shores of Yellowstone Lake returning to the south entrance of the Park. A van ride through Grand Teton National Park brings you to Jackson and the end of your adventure.
